Different kinds of vaporisation

If you want to pamper your skin during your visit to the sauna, then try our honey vaporisation. After a brief warm-up phase, you rub pure honey into the skin all over your body. The honey has a cleansing, firming and nourishing effect. Besides all this, it also stimulates the metabolism. When the water is poured onto the hot rocks, various essential oils are used. After the water has been poured onto the rocks, you can refresh yourself with an ice rub.

The body is rubbed down with coarse mineral salt from the Dead Sea. This rub-down has a disinfecting, sweat-promoting and detoxifying effect all at the same time. The coarse grains of the salt exfoliate your entire body. When the water is poured onto the hot rocks, oils from conifers are used. A refreshing ice rub takes place in the break.

In addition, we can offer you combined honey and salt vaporisations where you can choose between a honey or salt rub.

A healthy, fruity refreshment is supplied when the water is poured onto the hot rocks. Vitamins and trace elements give you a new release of energy. To cool you down and invigorate you at the same time, there's an ice rub with lots and lots of flake ice in the sauna.

The wellness vaporisation for our female guests is characterised by its gentle and relaxing nature. At a moderate 80°C, chiefly fruity-fresh fragrances are poured onto the hot rocks and gentle flapping of towels and quiet and soothing background music accentuate this quite mild vaporisation (please note: for organisational reasons, we cannot always ensure that the hot water is always poured onto the rocks by female members of staff only).

With a bundle of birch twigs, birch water is poured onto the hot stones. This releases the wonderful aroma of the birch leaves and fills the banya with their typical fragrance. Thanks to the high level of humidity and the relatively mild temperature, this vaporisation is an exceptional experience.

It was probably the Russian winter that made people particularly inventive when it came to rest and relaxation. The banya ritual is, at any rate, unique among all the bathing ceremonies. In the first phase, warm air is fanned with a bunch of birch twigs, known as the "venik". This is followed by a brief cooling down period with fresh Siberian tea. During the next part of the sauna ritual, your body is gently beaten with the venik. A refreshing ice rub rounds off the cycle. The last phase of the banya ritual serves your relaxation; in this part, you are gently rubbed down with the venik. Finally, you first walk around outdoors to cool down, then have a cold shower followed by a break.

The Ayurvedic oil magic is a group ceremony in the seraglio bath for up to 7 people and lasts roughly half an hour (by appointment only). At the beginning, you will be given various oils, which are quickly absorbed when you rub them into your skin. While you enjoy a cup of hot tea, you will be enveloped in aromatic vapour. After 10 to 15 minutes of steam, your body will start to slowly sweat out the oil. Your skin is cleansed and nourished in a particularly gentle and long-lasting way. Two rounds of flapping towels to distribute the steam and a refreshing Kneipp shower at the end of the ceremony remove all residues of the oil and get your circulation going again.

Experience the unique Ottoman vaporisation in our stunning seraglio bath. After a few bouts of steam, during which you can enjoy the beneficial vapour with its essential oils, our staff will give you a rich coffee cream – an intensive exfoliation and moisturising mixture – which you can rub into your body. Further distribution of the vapour by flapping towels and a cleansing and refreshing Kneipp shower round this vaporisation off.
